QUI, QUOI, OÙ ?
Derrière l'Atelier d'èssé, il y a SC.
Installée en Charente, SC est titulaire d’un DEA en Arts et Technologies de l’Image ainsi qu’une Licence en Arts Plastiques. Dès l’âge de 16 ans, elle s’inscrit aux Beaux-arts en plus de ses cours au lycée.
Indissociable de sa vie, moteur de son existence, la création graphique et picturale a pris différentes formes tout au long de son parcours et de ses expériences.
Graphiste, enseignante en art en métropole et à Tahiti où elle a vécu pendant plus de 10 ans, les outils et l’odeur de l’atelier ne sont jamais loin et la rattrapent toujours.
Très jeune, elle commence à dessiner, et c’est son père, entomologiste qui aiguise son regard à l’observation minutieuse et attentionnée de la Nature, c’est également son père qui lui donnera ses premières « leçons » de dessin et peinture à l’huile.
De ce regard, elle tire depuis son enfance cette sensibilité à la préservation de la Nature. Et parce qu'il est essentiel aujourd'hui plus que jamais de prendre soin de notre planète, le travail et la vie de SC s'inscrivent dans cette démarche indispensable de conservation et de défense du Vivant.
Dame Nature comme source d’inspiration infinie, comme source de matériaux à détourner, à intégrer, à triturer. Que ce soit dans ses peintures contemporaines, ses illustrations à l’aquarelle, ses dessins et plus récemment dans ses céramiques, la Nature végétale, animale, marine, organique, anatomique est le fil conducteur des créations de SC.
Et, pour visiter l'atelier d'èssé, il vous faudra simplement trouver les ruines du pont qui n'existait pas...

Behind the Atelier d'esse, there is SC.
Based in Charente, SC holds a DEA in Image Arts and Technologies as well as a Bachelor's degree in Arts. From the age of 16, she enrolled in Fine Arts in addition to her high school lessons. Inseparable from his life, engine of his existence, graphic and pictorial creation has taken different forms throughout his career and his experiences. Graphic designer, art teacher in mainland France and in Tahiti where she lived for more than 10 years, the tools and the smell of the workshop are never far away and always catch up with her. At a very young age, she began to draw, and it was her father, an entomologist who sharpened her gaze through the meticulous and attentive observation of Nature, it was also her father who gave her her first "lessons" in drawing and oil painting. From this look, she draws from her childhood this sensitivity to the preservation of the Nature. And because it is essential today more than ever to take care of our planet, the work and life of SC are part of this essential approach to the conservation and defense of living things. Mother Nature as an infinite source of inspiration, as a source of materials to divert, to integrate, to triturate. Whether in his contemporary paintings, his watercolor illustrations, his drawings and more recently in his ceramics, plant, animal, marine, organic, anatomical nature is the common thread of SC's creations.
And, to visit the workshop of esse, you will simply have to find the ruins of the bridge which did not exist...
